‘The city never sleeps’, the capital of Maharashtra is one of the famous places in India, any foreign tourist would always vouch on Mumbai first out of all the places in India. Some places to visit in Mumbai
1. Gateway of India
This is the major landmark of Mumbai which was built in 20th Century; it was done so to celebrate the visit of King George and Queen Mary to Mumbai. Gateway looks over Mumbai’s harbor which is on the border of Arabian Sea in the Colaba district. It is apparently the largest architectural structural monument which is 26m in height and it is constructed in Indo-Saracenic style. If you observe it clearly you can also spot the Muslim architectural style on the edifice. Elephant Caves and Taj hotel which is India’s most prestigious hotel is located near Gateway, thus one must watch this place when they visit Mumbai.

2. Colaba causeway market
This is one of the best places for shopping in Mumbai; here one can get the best stuff at a very affordable price. This place is a bargain market, where you can negotiate and strike an ideal deal with all the vendors selling different products. You can find cheap clothes, creative and fashionable boutiques and also old styled constructed buildings. Also, it is one of the best places to enjoy street food. Everything that you name will be available on this street.
3. Juhu beach
This is probably the most visited place in Mumbai. This place comes to life mostly in evenings, you can see youngsters strolling on the beach or the couples enjoying the sunset and the sea waves, you can play in water and enjoy best stall foods at this place. From typical Indian food to all the type of fast food is found at this place.

4. Victoria Terminus
This is also known as Chatrapathi Shivaji Terminus (CST), constructed in Victorian style and this edifice is situated in the heart of Mumbai. This place is also an important landmark of Mumbai just like the Gateway and it was declared as world heritage site by UNESCO in year 2004. This was built in year 1888 but still there is no change in the structure and it is considered to be the best example of Victorian gothic style architecture in India. This is the busiest railway station in Mumbai; one might find it difficult to breathe if you visit this place at peak time.
