Bangalore Palace: Chamaraja Wodeyar had built this beautiful palace in 1887, taking Windsor Castle in England as inspiration. Tipu Sultan's Palace and Fort: It is located in the Fort area. Chikkadeva Raya has originally built the Tipu Sultan's Palace in mud. Later, Hyder Ali reconstructed this palace in Indo-Islamic architecture. His son, Tipu Sultan completed the construction in 1791. There is a Hindu temple in the courtyard of the fort which shows religious tolerance of Tipu Sultan.

Lalbagh Botanical Garden: Formerly, it was a private Mughal-style garden for the royal rulers of the city. Hyder Ali had established this expansive garden. Tipu Sultan later extended this beautiful garden. Now, it is spread over 240 acres. Red roses bloom in this garden throughout the year. Here, one can find diverse species of plants. This garden is the focal point if glass house which was built to celebrate the visit of the Prince of Wales in 1889.
The Government Aquarium: It is the second largest aquarium of its kind in India. Visitors can learn about the marine life here and observe the different varieties of fishes.
Cubbon Park: A popular place for the nature lovers, joggers, and walkers. Just visit and laze around the 300-acre park area. You can find many ornamental and flower trees in this park. Bal Bhavan play area and aquarium in this park keeps the children busy.
