New DelhiNew Delhi | Image Resource : afmi.org

It was more than a year since I had gone out for actual photography. The projects kept flowing and my craving for freelance wildlife photo collection was increasing. My patience was at its brim when my job for saving the animals at the zoo was hugely appreciated and brought me some time to carry on with my collection. I contacted my old friends and learned that they were all planning for a trip to New Delhi and would camp to Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary. I was amazed by the idea and signed myself in. they were also happy to have me since I understood the forest better than any of them. I informed my company about this and promised them to get some exclusive photos of the animals. To my luck, they sanctioned my holiday for this trip.

Booking the train ticket from Mumbai to New Delhi

As soon as I was informed about my holiday being confirmed I started looking for a ticket to travel home. I completed all the paper works left in hand and decided to go online and book a ticket to make a trip from Mumbai to New Delhi. Due to lack of availability of flight seats at the last moment, I immediately shifted to search a train ticket. I was looking through various Mumbai to New Delhi trains. I did check for a seat in Mumbai to New Delhi Rajdhani but found no available seat there. The next train in my search list was the Dehradun Express. Even though I was booking only fifteen days before my date of the journey I was very lucky to find a seat there. The AC 2-tier ticket did cost reasonable and lesser than the average airfare. With the system of Indian Railway PNR checking option, I got eh information of my seat being a confirmed one.

I was asked to find a cheap but safe hotel in Delhi since I have been there before. I had stayed in hotel Ganga Azure previously and was happy with their service. Therefore, I checked online for any availability of rooms. To my luck, there were available rooms and I booked them immediately. The rooms were clean and well kept. The food, which was served was fresh and healthy. They even arranged the car for us to travel to Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary.

The wonderful experience at the Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary

The Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary is located at the southern edge of Delhi, which is connected to the Aravalli Mountain ranged. Some of it is even in Rajasthan. Since most of the forest area was getting destroyed Government declared it to be a Sanctuary. There are some self-proclaimed villages inside and we camped there. I captured the black-naped hare after waiting for 2 hours in the morning. We also got to see jungle cats, deer, porcupine, and jackals. We had no luck with spotting any leopard.

Delightful And Comfortable Journey While Travelling For Work

Posted on December 7, 2016 at 4:05 AM Comments comments (0)

The train journey was a good experience with comfortable seating arrangement which was convenient for traveling. The hotel was good for business as well as for family holiday stay.

Business conferences can sometimes be very interesting and can even turn out to be boring depending on the topic and the schedule. Sometimes, the location of the conference makes it interesting.

This time the conference was supposed to be held in Delhi. The hall where the seminar was to be conducted was situated in proximity to most of the tourist attractions in Delhi. Hence, I had decided that I would visit at least the major tourist attractions before returning back to Jaipur.

Journey From Jaipur To Delhi:

As we were told the final date for the business conference in Delhi, I checked on the internet for the various options for Trains From Jaipur To Delhi. Many trains were available on this route and the journey time was around 6 hours. I checked the timings of the various trains and selected to travel through the Ajmer Shatabdi 12016, a day in advance.

The express train departs from Ajmer at 5.50 pm and reaches Delhi at 11.03 pm. I particularly selected this train, as I did not want to travel at night to disturb my sleep. Also, I wanted to be fresh for the business conference, so planned to travel one day before the conference. I prefer to travel by AC chair car as it was an evening time journey and the travel time was also less.

The seating arrangement in the compartment was very comfortable. The train had a pantry service that served delicious meals on the train. I had a meal in the train as the train was going to reach Delhi at night time. I selected the vegetarian meal which had puribhaji and pulav. The dinner was tasty and filling. The train journey was comfortable.

Beautiful Stay At Ashok Country Resort:

The train reached the New Delhi railway station at 11.10 pm which was its scheduled time. As it was night time I immediately hired an auto rickshaw to reach the hotel which was around 20 km away. This was a 4-star hotel and was located on the Rajokri Road. Many places of interest like Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Humayun’s Tomb, Lodi gardens; QutubMinar, India Gate, etc were situated nearby by this property.

The hotel had a beautiful architecture which represented style and tradition. The hotel staff was very welcoming and had friendly nature. The hotel provided two categories of rooms viz. club rooms and luxury rooms. I preferred to stay in the luxury room which was sufficiently large and elegantly decorated. The rooms had pleasant color and had good ventilation which made it more comfortable.

Facilities Provided By The Hotel:

The hotel was well maintained and the rooms were equipped with all the basic amenities. Other facilities included

internet facility,

coffee/ tea maker,

room service,

business and recreational facilities, etc

The train journey was a good experience with comfortable seating arrangement which was convenient for traveling. The hotel was good for business as well as for family holiday stay.
